To believe it or not...

There is a Sanskrit stotra, hymn of praise, used as a protection  to Lord Rama that is 'Ram-raksha'. Whether you believe in the God or you don't or may be you can withdraw it by saying it's a myth only & Ramayana didn't take place and all, it's a matter of different debate. The point is, in the said 'Ram-raksha', there is quote that goes like this..
 'पातालभूतलव्योम*  *चारिणश्छद्मचारिणः  ।**न द्रष्टुमपि शक्तास्ते*   *रक्षितं रामनामभिः'

The meaning:-
The secret, invisible creatures, germs, bacteria, viruses, other creatures, micro-organisms, other invisible vaginal powers that live anywhere in the earth, the sky, and the abyss, no one can harm a person protected by the names (Ram Nama's heartfelt chanting).
The reason to share this is that, now-a-days, we are getting lots of social media messages saying how 'Hindu' religion is great above any other religions. The lifestyle of a 'Hindu' is an ideal one & all. Now everyone is doing 'Namaste' instead of hand shaking. Everyone seems to be admiring who prefer vegetarian food.
'Ramayana' happened or not, whether it's a myth or a true story, it's a matter of debate. But, as a believer, follower, respecter to Indian Culture & Hinduism, this seems to be one of the ways to improve the situation. Not that I am saying to chant 'Rama, Rama' altogether, but make a belief system that will be useful to you & the next generation of yours. The teachings of Lord Rama are nothing but the 'Ideal way of living life'. But believing, accepting, sacrificing, changing its totally upto you.
