In the year 1960, Maharashtra got its new identity as a ‘State’ in India. 6 decades have passed on, with each year celebrating the greatness of the Maharashtra state. But this year, it’s a different scenario with the Corona pandemic hanging over the world. No extravagant celebrations are supposed to take place now due to social distancing. Here is a look at the possible challenges ahead of Maharashtra.

What is Happening in Maharashtra Right now?
Today, Maharashtra is the worst-hit state by Coronavirus & the numbers are rising day by day. This is not the time to celebrate anything. The important aspect is, people should live peacefully & unity should be maintained. The State government of Maharashtra has declared that no such event should take place amidst the corona threat. But people of Maharashtra are standing tall & keeping each other motivated through their wishes & prolong support.
If we look at the speed & the progress of Maharashtra State since its establishment, it is safe to say that Maharashtra will be playing a vital role to lead this Pandemic & show the world the next direction. Maharashtra is an industrial hub & eventually it is the number one player in the Indian Economy. There will be different parties, different cultures but as a nation, Maharashtra is united & that is its USP.
What is the mindset now?
Too much politics. There is one party ruling & the other in the opposition. But, there is no guarantee of the situation that it can not be reversed. And that is a great threat now. If the party is not favorable to any kind of Economic & Strategic Development, then what is the point of ruling this state. What is happening in Bihar or Odissa, it does not matter. Maharashtra is the main key to revive the Indian Economy.
Dirty Politics:-
Before this Pandemic, Maharashtra was worse hit by dirty politics. People of Maharashtra were in a dire position not to believe in the candidates they had voted for. Trust was broken. People were expecting the government to be run by a ‘Marathi Powerhouse’ & not just a showcase.
The Positive Side:-
Since the establishment, slowly but gradually, the economy of Maharashtra is on the rise. Thanks to some of the great leaders that had a true vision of a ‘Great Maharashtra’. Only because of them, Maharashtra is standing tall now.

- Unemployment:- Due to the massive cut in Job Offerings, the unemployment rate has gone up 20.9%.
But people of Maharashtra will fight this battle too. They have survived a horrible natural calamity in the year 2019. This phase will pass too. We will rise again. We are known to win the battles against all odds. Not just India, but the whole world will take a note of ‘Marathi People & their Glories’.
